It is Memorial Day in America. We spend a three-day weekend remembering those who gave their lives in defense of freedom. Today we’re going to talk about a life that was freely given to give you your freedom.
Human nature tends to make us notice and identify differences in people. We naturally fear what we do not understand. But Jesus brings unity.
The cancel culture is getting out of hand in our world. It seems that the slightest misstep or offense gets answered with boycotts or cancelation. The Church is no different. However, Jesus cannot be canceled.
The world is searching for hope in many places. On Easter, we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. This leads us to finding hope in Jesus.
Celebrating communion at home is wonderful and very rewarding. It does not have to occur as part of a larger worship service in a church building. You can celebrate communion whenever and wherever you find yourself. Communion is celebrating the sacrifice Jesus made on that Roman cross 2000 years ago.
