Regarding the Riots in America

America is in dire straights right now. Peaceful protests have led to violent rioting. The violent rioting is damaging personal property of people from all walks of life, injuring people from all walks of life, and some are dying from all walks of life.

During a recent Cell Life Church Live webcast, we addressed the current situation. Here is a segment from the webcast:

Friends, this violence has got to stop on all sides. There are no easy answers except the answers that Christ himself gave us. We must understand that we are all created in the image of God. We have all been created with a plan and a purpose, and part of that plan and purpose is to serve our fellow men and women, brothers and sisters, across the globe regardless of the color of their skin or the language they speak.

We need to put aside hatred and pick up love. We need to set aside our thirst for justice and hunger for grace, mercy, and forgiveness. We need to stop pointing out differences and start celebrating those differences and the uniqueness they bring to each individual.

If we all set our eyes on Jesus and live the way he has called us all to, we will see much of the hatred in this world squelched.
