In our last teaching, It Begins With You, we talked about who is responsible to meet the needs of our world. Today we are talking about practical things we can do as Christians to help our world be a better place.
Every day it seems the world is becoming a scarier and crazier place. There is violence and mayhem everywhere you look. The news is filled with headlines and stories of anarchy. We all want it to change. We all want it to be fixed. Many are looking to governments to fix the world’s problems. Today we are going to talk about who’s responsibility it is, and it’s not the government’s.
When God has not given you something to do, everything you do is done in your own power, not in God's power. Today we are talking about working within God’s power.
There is an old hymn with a chorus that reads, “It is well, with my soul.” Life in this world is navigating from one disaster to the next. Today we are talking about being well in our heart.
National elections seem to draw out some of the worst in people. There is shouting, finger pointing, accusations, name calling, and more. It is so easy to join the mob and get wrapped up in it. Today we are talking about loving those you do not like.
I have been reading and studying the Bible for decades. There is no scripture more important than another. However, the words printed in red are most important to heed.
There is so much more to worshipping God than singing a song printed in a book or shown on a screen. There is joy in worshipping God.
The word gospel is an interesting word. Today we are talking about the power of the gospel and what that means.
